Team Description

I have had two operations this year for Melanoma skin cancer on my back, I have been told, that now I am clear but due to go back for a check up in December.

What has staggered me is the ignorance of this deadly cancer, so much more needs to be done to make people more aware of one of the biggest cancer killers.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK, and rates continue to rise.Worldwide, around 55,500 people were estimated to have died from malignant melanoma in 2012, with mortality rates varying across the world.

At least 100,000 new cases are now diagnosed each year, and the disease kills over 2,500 people each year in the UK - that's seven people every day.

I was delighted to find a charity where 100% will go towards raising money for Skin Cancer.

I have 6 sons all were happy to join my team which means as a family we can do fund raising together that's why we have named our team Dads Army
